ABOUT Jen
I'm Jen Saavedra, an artist focused in photography, projection installation and visual design in Washington, DC. With an MFA from Pratt Institute, 8 years of experience as a Fine Art professor, and over a decade of experience in the creative industry, I have a passion for transforming compelling visual stories that connect people on an intimate level.
I have produced photography, installation, graphic design, and film work for the annual Down In The Reeds Festival, Starz, The New York Times, Great Plains Institute, DCCAH, Bring Our Families Home (BOFH) Campaign and tons more. I have exhibited photography, projection installation, and sculptural work in galleries internationally.
Through my work with NIVA - National Independent Venue Association and DTour, I have experience communicating with a wide range of audiences, and work hard to create successful productions through tight deadlines, budgets and projects.
Fun fact: For my DJ sets, I travel with my full setup packed on the back of my motorcycle!
